Hiiraan (Sunatimes) Al-shabab militias and forces of the Somali Transitional Federal Government have on Tuesday afternoon clashed in Durwale village of the Hiiraan region.

The fighting has been going on four hours. It is not yet clear the loss caused by the fighting.

However, officials from the government forces claimed that they have killed eight Shabab militias and injured twelve others. Al-shabab militias did not issue any comment.

Durwale village which is located 19 KM to the west of Beletweyne district, the capital of Hiran region, is now reported to be under the control of government forces.
