    Somali FM talks about Summit on Libya in Addis Ababa

The minister commended the good work of the Somali forces and the operations they are undertaking in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.

Addis Ababa (Sunatimes) Somalia’s foreign minister Mohamed Abdullahi Omaar has returned to Mogadishu after a short visit to neighboring Ethiopia, where he attended summit on Libya in Addis Ababa.

Omaar said that, in the course of the meeting, he had separate meetings with the African leaders who were at the summit, and cited that the leaders were impressed by the advances made by the Somali government forces in the latest fighting with Al-Shabaab insurgents in the country.

The minister commended the good work of the Somali forces and the operations they are undertaking in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.

The government forces were engaged recently in operations intented to kick out the militias of Al-Shabaab from their hold onto Bakara market, making significant advances.

Reports indicate that a large number of Al-Shabaab fighters are fleeing Mogadishu, where they are loosing ground to the TFG forces.
