    Sacked Attorney General refuses to accept dismissal

    The minister for justice and religious affairs, Abdullahi Ebyan Nur presented a report against the Attorney General and the justice department, and for this reason, it was decided that he had to be fired.

The minister for justice and religious affairs, Abdullahi Ebyan Nur presented a report against the Attorney General and the justice department, and for this reason, it was decided that he had to be fired.

Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Sacked Attorney General Abdullahi Dahir Barre has refused to accept the decision, made by Somalia’s cabinet, to sack him and replace him with a new Attorney General.

In an interview with Bar-kulan Radio, former Attorney General refused to accept sacking, which he called invalid.

“Only the chief of Somalia’s Supreme Court Aidid Abdullahi could sack me. This decision is not from him.” Abdullahi told Bar-kulan.

Abdullahi Dahir who is currently in Qatar has been accused of being incompetent by the minister for justice and religious affairs, who compaigned to see Abdullahi removed from his post.

The minister for justice and religious affairs, Abdullahi Ebyan Nur presented a report against the Attorney General and the justice department, and for this reason, it was decided that he had to be fired.

The inefficiency of the justice department was largely a bottleneck to the government, which could not render justice to the public due infighting between the TFG leaders and also the constant combat with the opposition group.
