Hiiraan (Sunatimes) A fierce fighting between Ahlu Sunna and Al Shabab militias erupted last night in Goobo village, 40km north of Mahas district of Hiran region. The fighting culminated in the death of four people and wounded one.

Ahlu Sunna fighters have reportedly carried out an onslaught on the Goobo village where Al Shabab were based, sparking a deadly fighting that took the better part of an hour. Al Shabab who were caught unaware struggled to wad off the unrelenting attacks.

The fallen victims were mainly from the contending sides. Reliable sources tipped Bar-kulan that the four people who died were the militias who were in the station of Al Shabab while the injured one was from Ahlu Sunna.

Reports say Ahlu Sunna fighters departed the village back to central regions where they formerly carried the attack from.
