Adado (Sunatimes) Heavy rains are reported to have caused the death of three people and destruction of properties in Adado town in Galgadud region of Somalia.
The rains are also reported to have injured several people, and destroyed several residential and non-residential houses in the town.
Abdirahman Addaawe, Adado commissioner told Bar-kulan that the casualties were a result of the rain wrecking havoc on the houses of those who died.
Officials are still looking for other casualties in the demolished houses.
The main roads in Adado town are also filled with water making some of the roads impassable. The loss caused by the rains have not been fully assessed yet.
Heavy rains have fallen in many regions of drought-hit Somalia. The falls have brought some relief to the drought affected people, but also caused problems and damage to buildings and roads.
